Learn English with stories, videos and real sentences

English becomes more useful when you meet it in situations you understand. A short story, a spoken sentence or a video gives a word a purpose before you try to remember it.

Choose a starting point you can understand

Choose a short text whose main idea you can follow. If every sentence needs a translation, select easier material; if everything is familiar, try a more demanding topic. Difficulty should leave room for understanding, not just decoding.

Lexiego brings illustrated stories, audio, short videos and reading practice into one learning routine. Use the format that helps you get started today rather than forcing the same activity every time.

Turn one sentence into active practice

First read or listen for meaning. Then notice an expression you would actually use and return to its sentence. Looking up every unfamiliar word can interrupt the story; focus on words that matter for understanding.

She missed the train, so she decided to take the bus instead.
Explain why she took the bus. Then reuse “decided to” in a sentence about your own day. You are practising both meaning and a reusable phrase.

A routine that connects reading, listening and review

You do not need to finish a chapter to complete a useful session. A clear task and a later return to the same words are more practical than collecting vocabulary you never revisit.

  1. Read one short story and describe its main event.
  2. Listen again and follow the written sentence.
  3. Save a useful word with its context and review it later.
  4. Use a reading or C-Test exercise when you want to practise reconstructing meaning.
