Studienkolleg preparation: German reading and C-Test practice
Start Studienkolleg preparation with the requirements of the institution you are applying to. Admission procedures and tasks can differ. A general German study routine should support that specific goal rather than assume one test applies everywhere.

Build your plan from the institution’s information
Find the current admission instructions, sample tasks and language requirements on the relevant institution’s website. Note which skills and task types need practice. If information is unclear, contact the institution instead of treating a social-media checklist as an official rule.
Keep language development and task familiarisation connected. A reading exercise may reveal vocabulary or grammar you need to work on; a story can provide another context for those patterns.
Practise reading around a gap
Before completing a word, identify the topic and inspect the surrounding grammar. Afterward, check the completed sentence. This simplified example is original learning material, not an official admission task.

Group difficulties by cause: unknown vocabulary, word formation, grammatical endings or a misunderstood relationship between sentences. Review one pattern, then apply it in a fresh example.
Do not equate success in a short app exercise with admission readiness. If your institution expects timed tasks, writing or other skills, practise those under the relevant conditions and seek feedback.
Where Lexiego fits
Lexiego stories, reading practice and C-Test-style exercises can support regular German study. They do not replace the institution’s preparation materials, an official test or advice about admission eligibility.
- Check current requirements and sample tasks.
- Identify a language difficulty in practice.
- Work on it through contextual reading and review.
- Return to the relevant task format and assess the change.
